Eli Eyal, head of the Jewish Agency’s Information Department, believes Israel should recruit Jewish youth from abroad to perform various jobs connected with Implementing the peace treaty with Egypt rather than import foreign Labor for the tasks. Proposing such a program, Eyal contended that the Jewish youngsters could be employed in maintenance, driving or waiting on tables Just as well as itinerant workers brought in from South Korea or other countries. If Jewish youths were given the jobs they would benefit from a trip to Israel and the increased identification with it that such a trip-would-provide.
