Israel Deputy Defense Minister Mordechai Zipori was received by President Jose Lopez Portillo and other high Mexican government officials, as well as by officials of the Israel Embassy and the Central Jewish Committee during his visit here last week. Zipori praised Mexico’s foreign policy and Portillo. At a meeting with Jewish leaders, Zipori said that even if Israel Defense Minister Ezer Weizman resigned, the Israel government will continue in office without holding new elections.
