David Horowitz, a veteran UN correspondent for American Jewish newspapers, has been elected president of the United Nations Correspondents Association (UNCA). The election of Horowitz, who ran against an Arab correspondent, Ms. Roghida Bergham of the Lebanese newspaper Al Nahar, marks the first time that a correspondent for American Jewish newspapers has been elected UNCA president. Horowitz has been reporting from the UN for 33 years. For the last few years he had served as UNCA secretary.
