The National Conference of Bishops of Brazil sent, for the first time in its history, New Year’s greetings in the name of the Catholic Church to the Jewish community. The message also expressed gratitude for the acceptance of an invitation “for a religious dialogue on a national level.” The message was signed by Msgr. Ivo Lorscheiter.
