Neither a curfew imposed by the Israel army, the intervention of IDF units nor heavy snows on the Shouf mountain range of Lebanon halted the ethnic war between Druze and Christians Tuesday. But Israeli soldiers noted the strangeness of this war, in which heavy exchanges of firing between neighboring villages was halted while villagers of both sides helped the other extricate vehicles from heavy snow drifts. But once the cars and trucks were freed, the shooting started again.
