More than $12 million in Israel Bonds were purchased here Tuesday at a luncheon sponsored by the Real Estate, Builders and Allied Industries Division of State of Israel Bonds at the Pierre Hotel. John Tishman, a noted New York realtor, received the Israel Peace Medal “in recognition of his uncommon commitment to providing vital humanitarian and economic support for Israel, and for his outstanding accomplishments as an innovator and a pioneer for progress in the real estate industry.” The award was presented to Tishman by Moshe Yegar, Israel’s Consul General in New York. More than 700 members of the New York real estate community attended the luncheon.
