Two Jews were re-elected in yesterday’s overwhelming Liberal Party victory over the Parti Quebecois, which has been in office for nine years. Herbert Marx, the son of Jewish immigrants from Lithuania and a Harvard Law School graduate, was re-elected with more than 20,000 votes in the D’arcy McGee district. He is slated to become the first Jewish Justice Minister in Quebec. Also re-elected to the Provincial National Assembly was Maximilien Pollak, representing the Saint Ann district. He received more than 12,000 votes.
