The Israel Defense Force gave advance notice Tuesday of a practice mobilization for reserve soldiers to take place in the next few days. The IDF always gives advance notice to avoid apprehension at home and inform neighboring Arab states that the mobilization is only a practice exercise. A military spokesman said several thousand men and vehicles would be called up by public broadcast of code words denoting which units are being mobilized. The actual date of the call-up is never given in advance.
