Bloodshed continued in the West Bank on Wednesday, despite a blanket curfew aimed at preventing violence during Israel’s Independence Day.

An 18-year-old Palestinian, Sami Liftani, was shot to death when youths clashed with soldiers at the Kadura refugee camp near Ramallah.

In Jericho, police arrested Rabbi Meir Kahane and several members of his extremist Kach party after they rioted in the Arab town. They were questioned in connection with the vandalization of Arab cars.
