One terrorist was killed and two Israel Defense Force soldiers were slightly wounded Tuesday night in an IDF search-and-destroy operation in the southern Lebanon security zone.

The clash was part of the latest mission undertaken by the Givati Brigade to prevent terrorist infiltrations of Israel before they can occur, a military spokesman said.

Another possibly dangerous assault was intercepted Monday night off the coast of the Gaza Strip. An Arab resident of Gaza was killed after a sea chase and four other Arabs were captured on the Gaza beach.

The chase occurred when a Dabour class navy patrol boat intercepted a fishing boat behaving suspiciously offshore. The boat ignored orders to stop and made for the sea.

The Israeli naval vessel, which fired a warning shot, was joined by an assault helicopter, which herded the fishing craft back to shore.

An IDF unit waiting on the beach shot and killed one Arab who tried to escape and slightly wounded another.
