France is giving 6 million francs (slightly more than $1 million) to Palestinian institutions as a gesture of support for the accord signed last month by Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization.
Lucette Michaux-Chevry, the French junior minister in charge of humanitarian actions and human rights at the Foreign Ministry, announced that part of that sum will be devoted to providing emergency help for Palestinian public health services.
