Israeli planes raided a Hezbollah base in southern Lebanon on Sunday, a spokesman for the Israel Defense Force announced.

The spokesman described the target as “site of Hezbollah operations” in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon, adding that all Israeli aircraft returned safely to base.

The raid took place two hours after an IDF tank was slightly damaged in a Sagger missile strike launched by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command, which, along with Hezbollah, is attempting to drive Israel out of southern Lebanon.

There were no Israeli casualties resulting from the PFLP strike.
