Volkswagen agreed to set up a fund to compensate those who were forced to work for the company as slave laborers during World War II. The move reversed the stance adopted a month ago by officials at the German auto manufacturer. According to a history financed by the company two years ago, Volkswagen employed 15,000 slave workers during the war.
