Israel’s Parliament approved the Wye peace accord by a vote of 75-19, with nine Knesset members abstaining. Absent from the Knesset during the vote were seven of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s own Cabinet ministers. The vote came at the end of two days of heated debate on the latest Israeli-Palestinian agreement, including a review of maps detailing the West Bank areas from which Israel will redeploy.
