The United States will give Israel all possible assistance in its search for Middle East peace, President Clinton assured Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak. “As Israel again walks bravely down the path of peace, America will walk with you, ready to help in any way we can,” Clinton said Thursday as he welcomed Barak at the White House before an afternoon of talks. For his part, Barak said Israel would abide by all agreements signed by his predecessors, including the Wye accord.
