Israel’s budget for this year includes funding for the Conservative and Reform movements, the Education Ministry announced. Rabbi Ehud Bandel, president of the Masorti, or Conservative, movement in Israel, said the money involved was a modest $615,000, but that it nonetheless represented an important turning point.
