Thousands of people attended a daylong celebration in Brooklyn marking the 120th anniversary of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society. Featured guests included Hadassah Lieberman, the wife of former vice presidential candidate Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-Conn.), and Olympic gold medal swimmer Lenny Krayzelburg. Both immigrated to the United States with the help of HIAS.
