U.S. defense officials arrived in Israel on Thursday for strategic talks with Israeli officials. According to the Israeli daily Ha’aretz, the officials will discuss topics including joint military exercises, intelligence-sharing, and research and development projects; regional issues, including threats posed by Iran and Iraq; and a briefing on Indian-Pakistani tensions.
