Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon opened contacts Thursday to try to widen his governing coalition. Sharon was expected to turn first to the far-right National Unity-Israel, Our Home bloc, which opposes any negotiations with the Palestinians and advocates harsher reprisals for Palestinian terror attacks.
