Old-time Israeli songs are available on the Web. In honor of this week’s celebration of Israel’s 55th Independence Day, the classic tunes can be heard at http://jnul.huji.ac.il. The posting of the songs is part of a project sponsored by the Jewish National and University Library at Jerusalem’s Hebrew University.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
