Israeli forces hunting Gaza mortar crews killed at least 12 Palestinians. The dead in Wednesday’s incursion into a neighborhood on the outskirts of Gaza City included at least 10 militants, Palestinians said. Israel said it launched the raid in response to rocket and mortar fire on nearby Jewish towns. Hamas, which lost at least one commander in the clash, vowed revenge.
