The Israeli Knesset approved Ariel Sharon’s Gaza withdrawal plan. On Tuesday, lawmakers voted 67-45, with seven abstentions, to approve the prime minister’s plan. Under the plan, Israel will pull out of the Gaza Strip and parts of the West Bank next year.
