The Israeli scientist who shared this year’s Nobel Prize in chemistry has been made an honorary citizen of the Hungarian town where he was born. On Wednesday, officials in Karcag, southeast of Budapest, awarded Avram Hershko the honor in recognition of his outstanding contribution to science.
