A lawyer for the man accused of passing classified information to two American Israel Public Affairs Committee staffers said he thinks an indictment is imminent. A preliminary hearing for Lawrence Franklin, scheduled for Friday in a Virginia federal court, has been postponed. Franklin’s attorney, Plato Cacheris, told JTA that he expects his client to be indicted. Sources told JTA that Rosen and Weissman expect to be indicted as well for allegedly giving classified information to an Israeli embassy official.
