The mayor of Sao Paulo, Brazil, lit the first Chanukah candle of a huge menorah displayed in the city. Sao Paulo’s Mayor Jose Serra lit the candle Sunday on a more than 21-foot-tall menorah on Paulista Avenue, the city’s main meeting site for huge popular celebrations.
