Mahmoud Abbas said there is an Al-Qaida presence in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. “We have indications about the presence of Al-Qaida in Gaza and the West Bank. This is intelligence information. We have not yet reached the point of arrests,” the Palestinian Authority president told the London-based Al-Hayat newspaper in an interview published Thursday. “This is a very serious matter.”
