An Israeli wheelchair tennis player was suspended for a year after testing positive for a banned substance used to treat asthma. Ilanit Fridman tested positive for terbutaline at the U.S. Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships in October. The International Tennis Federation said Thursday it didn’t think Fridman had used the drug to enhance performance, but said she had not obtained a therapeutic-use exemption.
