Jewish groups applauded the results of two local ballot initiatives in the U.S. elections. Hadassah: The Women’s Zionist Organization said in a Wednesday statement that its members “led the charge” to defeat an abortion ban in South Dakota, and that “in Missouri, Hadassah members were likewise instrumental in preserving the right to pursue embryonic stem cell research.”
