The Jerusalem Post reported that the bill, presented to the Knesset Monday, would separate the deadline for settling monetary issues from the deadline for giving a Jewish divorce, or get. This way, financial issues could be resolved before the issue of the get arises, limiting the ability to connect alimony or splitting of joint property with the giving of the get.
