Suha Arafat turns Tunisian

Yasser Arafat’s widow reportedly has taken Tunisian citizenship. Suha Arafat, who since the death of the Palestinian leader in 2004 has lived in Paris and Tunisia along with the couple’s daughter, Zahwa, recently decided to become naturalized in Tunisia, the Swiss newspaper La Liberte reported over the weekend. Suha Arafat is said to be persona non grata in Palestinian areas due to questions about tens of millions of dollars that disappeared under her husband’s rule and her lavish lifestyle.
