Resolutions marking Greek independence in both Houses of the U.S. Congress commend Greece for its Israel relations. Both recognize Greece’s 186th anniversary on March 25 and describe Greece as “located in a region where Christianity meets Islam and Judaism,” and as maintaining “excellent relations with Muslim nations and Israel.”
