A delegation of the Orthodox Union came under fire from Kassam rockets in Sderot. Rabbi Tzvi Hersh Weinreb, the OU?s executive vice president, was on a fact-finding mission to Sderot Thursday afternoon when a warning siren sounded, forcing him and four companions to seek shelter under a table in a nearby shop. Seven seconds later, two Kassam rockets fell in a nearby field. “I think I was too frightened to be frightened,” Weinreb told JTA by phone from Sderot. “It happened so fast and I have so little experience with this. It didn?t feel real.” Weinreb was accompanied by his wife, Chavi, two local union employees and an American yeshiva student on a day trip to the beleaguered southern city. No injuries were reported in the attack.
