WASHINGTON (JTA) — Kosher food will return to Baltimore Orioles baseball games this season, according to the Baltimore Jewish Times.
Last month, the paper reported that the Orioles and their food concessionaire, Aramark, had reached an impasse with Kosher Sports Inc., the New York-based kosher concessionaire that had served fans at Orioles Park at Camden Yards since 2005.
“There will be a kosher stand at the Orioles games,” said Jonathan Katz, the owner and founder of Kosher Sports. “They realized it was an important thing to have. The Orioles reached out in conjunction with Aramark to get this thing rectified.”
The stand, which will be available for Opening Day on Monday, will be located in left field and feature hot dogs, knishes and soft pretzels.
Kosher Sports serves kosher clientele in several professional sports venues, including M&T Bank Stadium, home of the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens. It is under the kosher supervision of the Baltimore-based Star-K organization.
