Irvine’s actions can stifle boycott call

To the Editor:

If the administration at the University of California, Irvine carries through on its threats against those students who were arrested, it will work toward the ending of the call for boycotts by Jews and Jewish groups. There should also be an honest investigation of the Muslim Student Union and its connection to the disruption of Ambassador Oren’s presentation.

Those Jewish student groups opposing the call for the Irvine boycott should be more active in answering the programs of the MSU that are against the interests of Israel and the Jewish people. They should also file complaints with the administration of UC-Irvine when university rules are broken regarding student and organizational conduct.
