BIDEN AT YESHIVA: Speaking Sunday at a dinner for Detroit’s Yeshiva Beth Yehuda, Vice President Joe Biden touted President Obama’s record on Israel and said that the U.N. General Assembly is “mildly hostile” to Israel.

WHAT WAS OBAMA THINKING?: On the heels of the live mic incident, veteran Middle East negotiator Aaron David Miller thinks he knows how President Obama feels about Prime Minister Netanyahu – and reviews how some of their predecessors got along.

LIEBERMAN AND SANDERS CONVERGE: The two independents who caucus with the Democrats in the U.S. Senate — Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Joe Lieberman of Connecticut — hail from opposite flanks of the caucus, but they are both noncommittal on whether they will endorse President Obama’s reelection.

GRAHAM VS. IRAN: Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) says that the United States should consider military action if necessary to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons –- “totally, absolutely, without any doubt.”

‘NUANCED’ ON IRAN: Massachusetts U.S. Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren praises President Obama’s “nuanced responses” to Iran and gets criticized by the state GOP.

WAXMAN ON WARMING: In an essay for Politico, Rep. Henry Waxman slams House Republicans on climate change.

CANTOR INTERRUPTED: The beginning of Rep. Eric Cantor’s Thursday speech at Rice University was interrupted by protesters, to which the House majority leader replied: “You gotta say, only in America."

BERMAN’S $1.6 MILLION: Rep. Howard Berman took in $1.6 million at a Beverly Hills fundraiser as he gears up for a redistricting induced face-off against fellow Jewish California Democrat Rep. Brad Sherman. Meanwhile, two “super PACs” — one apparently focused on Israel and another led by a local Latino elected official — are supporting Berman’s reelection.

LE PEN MEETS PAUL: French National Front leader Marine Le Pen was persistent and apparently a bit pushy in securing a meeting with Rep. Ron Paul, a fellow far-rightie also seeking his country’s presidency. (Previously on her visit to the United States Le Pen briefly hobnobbed with the Israeli ambassador to the U.N. and was received at the home of a Jewish Palm Beach councilman where she reportedly met with a largely Jewish and Republican crowd — to the dismay of the Anti-Defamation League.)
