First foreign policy reference in tonight’s GOP debate: Ron Paul wants to bring Newt Gingrich round on foreign policy, Gingrich laughs and says they have "deep" disagreement on Iran.
It came about 15-20 minutes in during a bro-fest, where Newt praises Paul for work on a monetary policy commission in the 1980s, Paul kind of defends Newt on leading Republicans to victory in the 1990s and says he’s happy Newt has taken up his monetary policies. (Which Newt kind of acknowledges,)
Bottom line, Newt would take Paul’s advice (as a Cabinet member?) but not on Iran.
