Adam Sandler broke Razzie records with Jack and Jill

They are probably not watching Jack and Jill

The Razzies, the Oscars for movies that really really suck, were moved last year from the day before the Academy Awards to April Fools Day and this year the grand winner of my personal favorite award show is Adam Sandler, for his work in “Jack and Jill.”

Sandler’s “masterpiece” collected a record-breaking ten Razzies out of the 12 it was nominated in, the categories of worst picture, actor and actress (both Adam Sandler, if anyone of you actually bothered to watch the film), supporting actress (David Spade as “Monica”), supporting actor (Al Pacino as himself), screen ensemble, director (Dennis Dugan), remake/rip-off (of Ed Wood’s notorious “Glen or Glenda”), screen couple (Sandler and Katie Holmes and/or Al Pacino and/or himself).

This is Sandler’s second Razzie award, and his 18th nomination. In 1999 Sandler won for his role in “Big Daddy.” He didn’t stop then and he’s not going to stop now, just look at his upcoming film:
