Confession: I love Christmas sweaters. I really do.
I also think that the custom “Ugly Christmas Sweater Party” every holiday is a chance for everyone to show what happens when Santa Claus throws up all over them in the form of red and green cotton (and if you’re really lucky – some shiny stars!). That’s why I was thrilled to find about the “Geltfiend Chanukah Sweaters!” project on the crowd-funding website Kickstarter.
For the unaware… the way Kickstarter works is that someone posts a proposed project and a fundraising goal… and hopes visitors step up with enough donations to make it happen. This specific project is asking for at least $20,000 by Sept. 5, and is already one-third of the way there.
So Geltfiend offers five nifty designs for men and women (my personal favorite — the happy chasidic snow family), and you can even get them all if you donate $250 or more. They may not be classically ugly like Christmas sweaters, but wear them to your next bash and you’ll be the shamash of the party!
