To the Editor:
Years ago, while rummaging through the Toronto Jewish Archives, I ran across a letter in a local Toronto Jewish paper written in the early ’30s that shook me to the core. Apparently a young Jewish man interviewed Adolf Hitler, by chance, while visiting Germany, before Hitler was an "important" public figure. I did not save the source of that article, but I have not forgotten the impact it had on me when I saw it.
Reading the article "Dinner with Ahmadinejad" by Josh Lipowsky reminds me of that experience, although the end result hopefully will be far different.
