Valerie Harper has terminal brain cancer

Valerie Harper, the actress who played Jewess Rhoda Morgenstern in the 1970’s sitcom “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” and then went on to star in how own spinoff, “Rhoda,” has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, and could only have a few months left to live.

Harper, 79, previously battled cancer in 2009, but told People she approaching her last days with courage and humor.

“I don’t think of dying. I think of being here now,” she said.
