More than 3,000 displaced Jews have been moved ?om five camps in Southern Italy to unheated barracks at the Polesia camp, because the approaching liquidation of UNRRA activities, it was learned here today.
Conditions at the center, a former military camp, are extremely poor and ?ins during the last two days have penetrated the roofs of the barracks and wet everything and everybody inside, including a number of newborn babies. One Jew mmitted suicide and two others have died as a result of physical conditions.
