According to official figures published here, there were 6,852 Jewish pupils in the Prussian public high schools during the past school year, including 3,914 boys and 2,938 girls. The total number of pupils in these schools amounted to 355,068.
In the private high schools in Prussia there were 709 Jewish schoolboys and 479 Jewish schoolgirls. 8,040 Jewish pupils attended the private schools in Prussia, 1,762 of whom attended exclusively Jewish schools. Altogether, 6,278 Jewish pupils attended non-Jewish schools in Prussia during the past school year, which is about 1.6 per cent, of the total number of pupils in those schools.
