Jamal Bakhri, editor of the Christian-Arab paper, Al Zamer, was killed and six others injured in a fight between Catholics and Moslems in the streets of Haifa yesterday. A dispute between the Catholics and the Moslems over the rights to a cemetery has been going on for some time. The quarrel reached a head in today’s clash which followed an attempt on the part of Catholic workers to build a hut on the cemetery. Immediately an enraged crowd of Moslems gathered and the fight began.
