Ten more Jewish athletes, seven belonging to the Maccabee organization and three others, were today officially invited by German sport officials to begin training for the 1936 Olympic Games to be held in Berlin. This brings the total of German Jewish athletes training for places on the German team up to seventeen.
German authorities, the Maccabee organization informed the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, described several of the Jewish athletes as “excellent candidates for Olympic champions.”
