Warburg, chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee; Simon Litt, president of the National Jewish Welfare Board; Joseph Meyerhoff, general chairman of the United Jewish Appeal; Dr. Joachim Prinz, president of the American Jewish Congress; and Irving Kane, president of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds. Special greetings were received also from the heads of the city’s two largest daily newspapers, The Philadelphia Inquirer and the Evening Bulletin.
