Approximately 1,000 Jews from Poland, Austria and Germany were found alive in the former Nazi concentration camp at Lucca, a few miles above Pisa, when the area was liberated on Sept. 1, Arthur D. Greenleigh, representative of the Joint Distribution Committee in Rome, reported today.
