Ten thousand persons today celebrated the first anniversary of the November 29 Palestine partition resolution of the United Nations at a mass meeting in Luna Park, the city’s largest outdoor statium. The meeting also marked the successful conclusion of the first Argentine United Jewish Appeal drive.
Godalia Zuchowitzki, representative of the Israeli office of the Keren Hayesod, one of the chief speakers at the rally, asked Argentinian Jews to continue their contributions to Israel even after the current war ends. Zuchowitzki was presented with an Argentinian flag to be given to Israeli President Weizmann as a symbol of Argentine’s loyalty to Argentina and love for Israel.
