Displaced persons in Europe are now being catalogued as to skill in the expectation that 100,000 of them will be brought here to “meet the constantly increasing demands of our present and future man-power requirements in all phases of national defense,” it was announced here by John W. Gibson, chairman of the Displaced Persons Commission.
Mr. Gibson, who spoke at the annual assembly of the Workmen’s Circle Division of the Jewish Labor Committee, said that nine occupational specialists are currently engaged in screening displaced persons in Europe for occupational skills.
