Aid for Israel under the Mutual Security program will be reduced about $10,000,000 in conformity with the general slash of one billion dollars made by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in an “across the board” cut of the $7,900,000,000 requested by President Truman for foreign military and economic aid, it was learned today.
The President had asked $76,000,000 for refugee resettlement in Israel and Israel would also have received additional funds from the balance of the $196,000,000 the President had requested for the Middle East.
