Tamara Fribash, a 12-year-old Jewish girl from Iran, arrived in Israel as an immigrant today and found herself greeted ceremoniously at Lydda Airport by leaders of Youth Aliyah and by Moshe Kol, head of the Jewish Agency’s Youth Aliyah department, as the hundredth thousandth young immigrant to arrive in this country under the Youth Aliyah program.
During the 27 years the Youth Aliyah program has been in existence, Mr. Kol said, $118,000,000 has been spent by the department engaged in encouraging Jewish youth immigration to Israel. Among those who greeted young Miss Fribash was Mrs. Bertha Schoolman, representing Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America.
